This was a Hungarian production and dated from 1921. It was actually reworked and re-released in 1923, which makes for some confusion as to when it was first released. 1921 is the correct year. It was directed by Karoly Lajthay, who also co-wrote the script. One of the other writer was to go on to be the legendary Hollywood director Michael Curtiz. It starred Paul Askonas as "Drakula."
